eBay Fee Calculator

Per eBay’s official policy: the item price, shipping charged to the buyer, handling, sales tax collected by eBay, and other applicable buyer-paid charges. Calculators that use "price plus shipping" understate the fee on every taxed order. This calculator has explicit inputs for each part and shows the assembled base beside the fee.

In most categories: 13.6% of the fee base up to $7,500 without a Store (or with a Starter Store), or 12.7% up to $2,500 with a Basic or higher Store, then 2.35% above the threshold, plus a per-order fee of $0.30 for orders of $10 or less and $0.40 above. Categories with their own schedules (guitars, computers, watches, trading cards and others) differ substantially, and this calculator blocks them with a link to the official schedule rather than pretending the general rate applies.

In most categories, no: Starter keeps the no-Store rate structure, and its value is in listing allowances and branding, not the percentage. The lower 12.7% broad-category rate begins at the Basic tier. This calculator applies exactly that, and tells you when your selected tier does not change the fee, which is worth knowing before paying for an upgrade expecting fee savings.

eBay’s policy adds higher additional final value fees for accounts that remain Below Standard or carry Very High service-metric ratings for four or more consecutive months. The seller-status selector models the documented surcharge and labels it as the July 2026 rule; your actual account state lives in Seller Hub, so check there rather than assuming.

Everything modeled: the tiered final value fee on the tax-inclusive base, the per-order fee boundary at $10, any seller-status surcharge, and your entered costs. It is solved by running the forward engine and verified to the cent. It excludes what the result panel lists as excluded: promoted listings, subscriptions, returns and overhead.
