DevDome vs Plausible: Which Privacy Analytics for WordPress?

Both are cookieless and skip the consent banner. The real differences are open source versus WordPress-native, and how each one handles bots and blocked clicks.

We make DevDome Analytics, one of the two products compared here, so we have a commercial interest in it. Plausible facts come from Plausible's own documentation and WordPress.org listing, linked in Sources, and we name what Plausible does better than we do. Corrections are welcome.

The short version

Last reviewed October 2, 2026. The full comparison explains each point with sources.

  • Both are cookieless and privacy-friendly, so neither one needs a cookie banner just for analytics.
  • Plausible wins on open source: the Community Edition is AGPL licensed and you can self-host it.
  • Both filter bots automatically. DevDome also reports the human versus bot split and meters plans on human pageviews only.
  • DevDome captures outbound clicks server-side, so a click still counts when an ad blocker stops the browser script.
  • Plausible self-hosted leaves out some cloud features, including its advanced bot filtering, so compare the edition you plan to run.
